A VERY SPECIAL
Turfgrass Council of North Carolina
RECOGNITIONS PROGRAM

Step forward and honor your MENTOR now

First created in 1998, the TCNC Eagles Award Program is your opportunity to honor the individual(s) who have touched, shaped and influenced your life.

Everyone has experienced the guiding hand of a mentor at some time in his or her lives. Kind and gentle… solid, disciplined, consistent and true. A mentor who we came to trust and respect… a mentor who was helping to shape our character… to make us each all of the good things that we each are today.

And how often do we now think fondly of our mentors and wish that there were a good way to just stand up and shout, “THANK YOU”! The TCNC Eagles Award is designed to do exactly that. It gives individuals the grand opportunity to honor or memorialize their mentor(s) whether living or deceased in a very special and enduring way.

How to Honor YOUR Mentor
Step 1: Supply TCNC with the name of your mentor (if new) or choose an existing mentor. Submit a short biography of your mentor (if new).
Step 2: Make a monetary commitment to the TCNC Eagles Award Endowment (minimum $250)
Step 3: Plan to attend the ceremony at the annual Turf Industry Conference & Expo at which your mentor will be honored AND the NCSU Graduate student will be presented with the Eagle Scholarship.

This is your opportunity to include and honor or memorialize your mentor, to be lovingly remembered in this very unique and enduring way.

And at the same time, your contributions are helping to grow the TCNC Eagles Award Endowment, which will become a $50,000 endowment fund for the future!

The Turfgrass Council of North Carolina will reinforce your monetary commitment in the following very important ways:

  • TCNC will maintain the TCNC Eagles Award Endowment Fund within the North Carolina Turfgrass Foundation
  • TCNC will provide Mentor and Donor Recognition Certificates and the master Eagles Award Trophy upon which all mentor’s names are engraved
  • TCNC will host the annual Trade Show Silent Auction as the primary fundraiser for the Eagle Award program

The Opportunity is yours. Support the Eagle Scholarship in the name of one of these mentors or name your own special mentor(s).

To make a generous and heartfelt commitment today so that together we can continue our extraordinary heritage, provide the following information to TCNC: Mentors Name and Your Name and contact information.
